Before you sign up to one of our courses you must read and agree to our booking conditions. If you have any questions contact our office by email or phone.

By paying your deposit of £99 you will have automatically agreed to the booking conditions listed below by Snowstyle Travel Ltd which is a registered company in Gibraltar (registered company number 118426) and whose registered address is Snowstyle Travel Ltd, Suite 263, World Trade Center, 6 Bayside Road, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA.

Snowstyle Travel Ltd is referred to as Snowstyle in the booking conditions.

A. General

1: Students who choose to withdraw from training will not receive any refunds and should refer to section I of these conditions.

2: Payments can be made by bank transfer only. Payments must be made in Pounds Sterling.

3: In the event of non-payment of course fees Snowstyle reserves the right to cancel your course and refuse you access to accommodation. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure all payments are made in line with scheduled payment dates as per your invoice.

4: In the event of a late payment Snowstyle reserves the right to charge interest.

5: All prices are inclusive of tax

6: Should any training face disruption or suspension, for reasons outside of the control of Snowstyle a revised training schedule may be required.

7: Student personal information will not be released by Snowstyle to a third party except for specific business purposes e.g. travel, lift passes, exam entry.

8: For the purposes of gaining employment Snowstyle reserves the right, unless specifically requested otherwise, to forward such details, including reports and training information, to ski schools and other agencies.

9: For publicity purposes involving customers enrolled for training Snowstyle reserves the right, unless requested otherwise, to include any pictures, images and other materials in marketing material.

10: Upon request from external security agencies Snowstyle reserves the right to provide your personal information.

11: Snowstyle may retain all relevant paperwork obtained during the course for a period of up to 5 years.

12: Snowstyle may test students for prohibited drugs if they feel it is necessary.

B. Course Job Guarantee

1: Our Course Job Guarantee is based on part season employment. This Course Job Guarantee is provided with our 12-week course and holds no monetary value. Students agree that when booking a place on a course you are investing in a professional training programme and are not paying for a job.

2: Snowstyle may offer a one job placement per student at a ski school. Should you choose not to accept the offer then Snowstyle may not be able to assist you any further and no refund shall be applicable in this case.

3: As contracts from the employing ski school may need to be signed in the presence of the Ski School Director, contracts may only be given upon the student’s arrival in resort.

4: Any course including a Job Guarantee is subject to the course participant having the legal right to work in Austria, holding either an EU Passport or correct working visa or working holiday visa and passing all parts of the exam at the end of the course. If a student fails to pass all parts of the exam they accept that any job offered may be limited by their qualifications earned to date, until such time that they are able to re-take any failed parts. The cost of retaking failed parts must be paid for by the student and is not recoverable from Snowstyle.

5: In order to be eligible for work in Austria, students from the UK may require a visa or similar work permit to work in Europe. No refunds will be applicable to students who fail to gain the legal right to work.

6: Snowstyle is not responsible for a refund for any monies to participants who are unsuccessful in the instructor exams. Snowstyle will not be responsible for additional costs incurred by the student such as travel or accommodation of pre-planned trips.

7: A small membership fee should be paid by the student to the respective ski instructor association in order for your instructor license to become valid.

8: Should Snowstyle staff feel that you are unsuitable for a pre-arranged placement the position can be withdrawn with no refund. Snowstyle will explain to you why this action has been taken and allow you the opportunity to appeal your case, however Snowstyle has the right to act as it feels fit to protect the reputation of its courses and participants.

9: Snowstyle reserves the right to cancel any contract or placement that an applicant has due to behaviour that is inappropriate to the professionalism of the occupation such as excessive alcohol consumption, drug abuse or usage, mental instability, aggressive character, repetitive lateness to course activities.

10: Snowstyle can cancel any contract or placement if it is discovered that an applicant has an undisclosed medical condition that may interfere with their role as an instructor, or prevent them from fulfilling their duties.

11: Snowstyle has no authority with regards to how any ski school operates. We will not be held responsible for your actions or that of your ski school once you have left our Snowstyle course. In the event you are dismissed from your job, Snowstyle will not be able to assist you and no refund shall be applicable.

12: Ski schools may at any time suspend the aforementioned contract due to the lack of available work due to, but not limited to, force majeure (see section H. 3), poor snow conditions, lack of ski school bookings, political or civil unrest and resort closures. Snowstyle is not responsible for finding alternative employment in the event of such situations. No refunds will be offered in this case.

13: Snowstyle will not accept responsibility for any change to the economical or political climate, or due to the lack of sustainable snow to open a resort and reserves the right to withdraw any job guarantee under such circumstances. No refunds will be offered in this case.

C. Insurance

1: It is agreed that as well as booking with us that you must also obtain suitable wintersports travel insurance which must at least include the following:

  • Emergency Medical Expenses including amongst other costs; mountain rescue, ambulance charges and repatriation
  • Cancellation of your trip or Curtailment; cutting it short
  • Personal Liability to include, amongst other liabilities; damage caused by your  negligence and that of your party to the property in which you are staying and may not include a clause which restricts actions being taken by a travelling companion other than family, and must include contractual liability of the party leader for the actions of your party
  • Travel and transfer delays which must include amongst other costs; additional costs incurred in the event of a delay
  • The policy must include the activities you are likely to do and in particular off piste skiing with or without a guide (it is possible to ski off piste inadvertently)
  • The policy should cover the period from the date of booking to the last day of your trip and may not have a clause allowing the insurer to cancel except in unusual circumstances e.g. fraud and misrepresentation, nor may it hold requirements that we must pay you (a refund or completion) in the event that we are unable to provide your trip due to circumstances outside our control. These booking conditions contain an exclusion in respect of force majeure and accordingly to reiterate it is your responsibility to obtain insurance for these risks
  • There are other sections to wintersports travel Insurance such as baggage, legal expenses, personal accident and so on

In the event that you fail to obtain suitable Wintersports insurance before the commencement of your course, Snowstyle reserves the right to cancel you course; no refunds shall be applicable in this case.

2: Snowstyle will not advise or recommend any insurance and students are free to use any insurance company they choose. It is the student’s responsibility to research and check their chosen policy to ensure that it meets the needs of your trip and the inclusions cover the needs of the course.

D. Snowstyle’s Obligations

1: By booking on to our course, you agree that some of the activities you participate in carry a risk of accident and injury. You agree not to take any unreasonable risks, and you accept that if you do, then you are responsible for the consequences of your actions.

2: Snowstyle will always ensure that everyone involved in the delivery of its courses are in possession of the appropriate qualifications including all coaching staff.

E. Accommodation & Evening Meals

1: Accommodation will be on a multi occupancy basis. If you feel you would prefer a single room then please contact our office in advance as an additional supplement will be payable.

2: Evening meals are provided on our 12-week courses and will be served Monday to Friday over the duration of your course, this will be indicated on your confirmation invoice. Meals will be arranged at a local restaurant within walking distance of your accommodation and will include a minimum of one main course. Any additional food or drink consumed including alcohol must be paid for before leaving the premises. There will be a specified time frame during which evening meals will be served, you will be advised of this time on arrival at your accommodation. Students must arrive to receive evening meals during the time specified otherwise students will forfeit the meal with no refund applicable.

F. Liability

1: Snowstyle accepts no liability whatsoever if you suffer loss, personal injury or death where there has been no fault on the part of Snowstyle or its employees where the loss, death or personal injury suffered is attributable to your own acts or omissions or to the acts or omissions of a third party not involved in providing the services which make up your course, or to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances or events which could not have been anticipated or avoided by Snowstyle or its employees, agents or suppliers even with the exercise of all due care.

G. Student’s Responsibilities

1: You are solely responsible for advising Snowstyle of any medical conditions or allergies that you have suffered prior to the commencement of the course and of any medication that you are on that may adversely impact you while enrolled on the course. In the event that Snowstyle in its sole discretion considers that these conditions are likely to create an unreasonable burden on the efficient conduct of the course, Snowstyle reserves the right to cancel your booking, in which event section H. 1 will be applied.

2: Details pertaining to passport, visa and health requirements will be sought from you following acceptance of your booking deposit. It is your responsibility to ensure that each document is valid and to take them with you. Snowstyle will not be liable if there is any failure on your part to prepare your documents fully and will not meet any additional costs incurred by reason of such failure.

3: Travel to and from Snowstyle course venues is your responsibility and Snowstyle cannot be held responsible for any cancellation, delay or booking problems with your travel arrangements.

4: You will be expected to read, e-Sign and comply with Snowstyle Code Of Conduct. Refusal to adhere to the Code Of Conduct can result in you being removed from the course. In this event, (1) You undertake to leave the resort until after the end of the course and (2) You accept that you will not be entitled to any refund in respect of the cost of the course.

5: In the event that your standard of skiing proves to be substantially different to that indicated by you on your registration form or that due to your prolonged absence from the course, or that any stated medical condition has a greater impact on your skiing ability than you have previously suggested and it proves impractical to include you in any of the classes arranged by Snowstyle, the company reserves the right to exclude you from course. Any additional costs incurred as a result of this will be payable by you direct to the ski school.

6: It is the responsibility of all course participants to ensure their own safety when training including the compulsory wearing of an appropriate safety helmet when taking part in one of our ski and snowboard courses.

7: You are responsible for looking after the property in which you will live. You will be required to provide Snowstyle with a cash deposit (Approx. €100 – €200) upon arrival. In the event that the property in which you live does not suffer any damage, your cash will be returned following the completion of the course. In the event of damage or the loss of a key, then you and the other course participants occupying the property will be required to pay pro rata for the damage sustained.

H. Amendment and Cancellation by Snowstyle Travel Ltd

1: Snowstyle makes every effort to operate its courses as advertised but it may very occasionally be necessary to modify a course before its start date. If the modification is significant in that it substantially undermines the course for which you have contracted, Snowstyle will notify you as soon as practicable and offer you three choices. You may (1) Accept the modification, (2) Change your booking to another available course or (3) Cancel and receive a full and prompt refund. If you choose another available course which is more expensive, you must pay the difference, however, if it is cheaper, Snowstyle will make the appropriate refund. If there is a minor modification before you depart (that is a change not included in the definition of a significant modification set out above), Snowstyle will try to notify you although it is not obliged to do so nor is it obliged to pay any compensation.

2: Snowstyle reserves the right to cancel your course up to 60 days before the start date. However, it guarantees that it will not do so for any reason other than force majeure after the date on which the final payment is due or has been made, whichever is the later.

3: “Force majeure” meaning, unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond Snowstyle’s control, the consequence of which neither Snowstyle nor its suppliers could avoid, including, but not limited to, war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, (actual or threatened), industrial dispute, international health warnings, technical problems with transport, enforced travel restrictions, machinery, equipment or power failure, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood or other adverse weather conditions leading to a lack of snow, poor snow conditions or resort closures. In the event of a cancellation due to force majeure, Snowstyle will use reasonable endeavors to arrange an alternative course of a comparable standard. In the event of a cancellation due to “force majeure”, Snowstyle is not obliged to offer any refund.

4: Snowstyle cannot be held responsible for ski lift operations of any given resort. It may be that during your course limited terrain is available due to circumstances and/or lift operation logistics. Course participants accept that this is beyond the control of Snowstyle when booking your course.

I. Amendment and Cancellation by Student

1: Snowstyle will make every effort to assist you if you wish to alter any previously agreed arrangements. Requests must be made in writing by email. A charge per amendment of £100, together with all communication charges or other expenses incurred by Snowstyle will be required. These charges will be payable whether or not Snowstyle succeeds in confirming your requested amendment. Depending on the conditions imposed by our suppliers, an amendment request may have to be treated as a cancellation and re-booking which may be subject to further charges.

2: All cancellations must be advised in writing by email. Any written cancellation notices should be sent to Snowstyle Travel Ltd, Suite 263, World Trade Center, 6 Bayside Road, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA. Recorded delivery must be used. Cancellations are effective on the day they are received by Snowstyle.

3: Should the student cancel their course 90days or more before the start date, you will receive a refund of 50% of the total course fees paid to date; Should the student cancel their course 60 days or more before the start date you will receive a refund of 25% of the total course fees paid to date, minus all deposits paid and an administration cost of £100.

4: Any cancellation made within 60 days of the commencement date of a course is subject to loss of deposit and all payments received to date. Snowstyle may, under certain circumstances return a percentage of the fee paid by you, however such circumstances are at the discretion of Snowstyle and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

5: Deposits are non-refundable and can not be transferred to any other person.

J. Skis, Snowboards and Appropriate Footwear

1: Due to the nature of your training course Snowstyle can not be held responsible for participants using non-recommended equipment that may have serious decremental effect on a participants progress. For this reason Snowstyle highly recommends that all such equipment be purchased in resort under our supervision to prevent any such issues. Snowstyle cannot be responsible for assisting participants that do not follow our advise in this matter.

K. Complaints Procedure

1: If you are unhappy with any aspect of Snowstyle’s arrangements while on your course, you must address your complaint immediately to a Snowstyle Travel Ltd representative who will attempt to resolve your issue.

2: If the problem cannot be resolved locally and you wish to complain, full details must be sent to Snowstyle Travel Ltd’s Head Office in Gibraltar by email or in writing and must arrive within 14 days of the problem arising. Failure to take either of these steps may deny Snowstyle the opportunity to resolve the problem immediately and/or investigate it properly. In consequence, this may affect your rights under your contract with Snowstyle.

L. Course Payment Schedules

1. A Deposit Payment of £99 is payable when booking an instructor program.

2. An Instalment Payment of £1,500 is payable 180 days prior to the course start date.

3. Balance Payments of the full invoice amount is payable 60 days prior to the course start date.

4. Failure to adhere to payment schedules may jeopardise your course place and Snowstyle reserves the right to cancel your course without warning.

M. Covid-19 Terms & Conditions

1. During the 2021/22 season we are implementing some additional measures and a specific refund policy to reflect the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Our Covid-19 policy can be found at snowstylecourses.com/covid-guarantee. All students will be required to follow new safety measures, policies and local protocols to the training area.

2. The Covid Refund Policy will apply on courses dated to start in January 2022 only.

3. Should your program be cancelled mid-course then Snowstyle will offer two options;

(a) The first will be a reasonable option to complete the course at a later date within the same season. Any additional options requested by the customer will be payable to Snowstyle. Any external costs incurred by customers will not be covered by Snowstyle including, but not limited to, flights, transfers or insurance. If a customer chooses to return during a different season, then additional costs may also be incurred e.g. new lift pass costs, travel, insurance etc.

Should a customer select a course transfer, an official booking of a new course will be required and this booking will be subject to Snowstyle’s standard booking conditions agreed to when booking. Once a course has been booked as a transfer, a 14-day cooling off period will be activated to give customers time to reconsider all options, after this period no refunds will be offered in exchange of a course transfer.

(b) The second option will be a partial refund – Snowstyle will endeavour to refund any unused, recoverable costs from its third party suppliers on a pro-rata basis including accommodation, meals, exam fees and training costs. With the exception of unused training costs, Snowstyle’s own internal costs will be excluded from any refunds. Snowstyle’s internal costs are unlimited in value and may include any fixed and variable costs associated with the direct or indirect running of the business.

4. Snowstyle is dedicated to offering a Covid-free experience. All students will be required to adhere to all local, national and international rules for travel & Covid testing. If required, students should gain a negative Covid-19 PCR test within 72hrs of arrival into resort. Snowstyle reserves the right to perform an additional Covid-19 Antigen test on arrival into resort prior to allowing access to the course accommodation.

O. DISCLAIMER: All content and blogs within this site is believed to be truthful and accurate to the best of our knowledge at the times they were published. Should you feel any information is inaccurate, outdated or offensive you may write to Snowstyle Travel Ltd and request an amendment or the removal of any content. Snowstyle will look at each case and decide on the appropriate action to take in relation to the complaint. Snowstyle will not be liable for information provided by third party sources or for outdated information. Any information relayed to customers via email, live chat or other communications is accurate and honest to the best of the employees knowledge at the time and is sent in good faith. Snowstyle prides itself on its honesty and integrity and as such will never knowingly provide false information or partake in deception of any kind.

P. Snowstyle CODE OF CONDUCT

By paying your deposit you agree that you have read and understood our booking conditions and you have agreed to adhere to our code of conduct while on one of our courses (see item G. 4 of our Booking Conditions). The behaviour of our students and guests within Austria is very important and we treat that way. Similarly, the correct behaviour of our students towards each other is vital for the fun and benefit that each person gains from their season with us. We want you to have a fantastic time whilst on our course but being part of a large group and living in close quarters with each other means that inappropriate / anti-social behaviour by one person can create an unpleasant experience for others. Everyone is expected to be as tolerant as possible but if you are concerned by someone’s behaviour it is your responsibility first to speak to the person who is bothering you. If you are unable to solve the problem amongst yourselves, your course director will be available and happy to help mediate.

Should the Austrian Authorities still have reason to maintain Covid-19 polices, all students will be expected to follow both them and the guidelines including, but not limited to testing, self isolating, quarantining, curfews and PPE requirements relevant during your time with Snowstyle. Failure to do so could result in being removed from the course and also incur a police fine of anything between €2.000 and €30.000.

You are required to be considerate and respectful to others while with us in Austria. Breaking the law whilst on a Snowstyle course will not be tolerated and could result in you being removed from the course.

Examples of the type of unacceptable behaviour that could result in you being removed the course includes:

 

  • Excessive deliberate damage to property
  • Physical violence towards anyone whether a member of the local community or a fellow course member
  • Any criminal activity
  • Use of illegal substances
  • Skiing in parts of the ski area closed due to high avalanche risk or acting/skiing or snowboarding irresponsibly
  • Repeated verbal abuse towards anyone
  • Theft
  • Poor health – if your course director has any concerns about the state of your mental or physical health that could threaten your safety

Although payment of your deposit constitutes your acceptance of our booking conditions and code of conduct, you may be asked to read the above and sign / e-Sign the Code of Conduct. Snowstyle takes the safety, interests and security of all of our guests seriously and asks for your understanding in this matter.
